I’m Mathieu, and this is my website. I am a multidisciplinary artist that explores different facets of technology and creativity living in Montreal, Canada.
I work as an AV system designer at Moment Factory.
I’m also part of a digital art collective where we create public interactive installations.

The goal of my work is to try and find the balance between generated randomness and calculations against organic, human intention. I use computer algorithms to walk this fine line and try to steer the results in a way that responds to what I’m trying to achieve.
I explore this through multiple different medias and techniques. Recently, I have focused on physical prints through the use of a plotter. I enjoy the process of transfering machine generated images to paper.
I am also using generated imagery to create mapping projects. As part of these larger pieces I’m also creating the musical soundtracks using a more standard approach to electronic music and composition.
